Shoreham-Wading River High School sophomore Melanie Hagen played a great game of golf at the Section XI Individual and Team championships held at Smithtown Landing on June 8-9. Melanie, a sophomore and varsity golfer, placed seventh overall. Her placement would have qualified Melanie for the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Girls Golf championship, which was cancelled this year. Melanie was among more than 90 golfers at the two-day event. The district congratulates Melanie and coach Deb Lutjen on this success!
