Shoreham-Wading River High School freshman Gavin Mangano was lauded at the Feb. 27 Board of Education meeting for his recent first place win at the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Wrestling Championships. Introduced with pride by District Athletic Director Mark Passamonte, Gavin was honored by head coach Joe Condon for his contributions as a member of the Wildcats team and his season successes on the mat.

“It was truly an honor to recognize Gavin,” Mr. Passamonte said. “He is certainly poised for future achievements in our successful Wildcat wrestling history books.”
