The Shoreham-Wading River School District congratulates the Winter 2023-2024 varsity athletic teams who were all recognized by New York State as Scholar-Athlete teams, an honor they earned by more than 75 percent of the roster maintaining an average GPA of 90 percent or above during the season. There were 141 varsity winter athletes: 92 or 65% of which maintained a 90 or high GPA. The students were lauded for their exceptional work on the field and in the classroom at the March 12 Board of Education meeting.
Among all the teams, an impressive number of students racked up numerous All League, All Conference, All County, All Academic, All State, Sportsmanship and MVP awards.
