Two Shoreham-Wading River High School students were each honored for demonstrating what it means to be a positive influence on their peers as well as an excellent physical education student.

Seniors Emily Cordano and Thomas Daggett were each selected for a Suffolk County Zone Physical Education award. They were chosen by their physical education teachers for their exceptional work during their four-year high school careers.

This award is given in recognition to one young woman and one young man in the senior class of each Suffolk County high school who exemplify outstanding physical performance, scholastic ability and leadership qualities.
