Shoreham-Wading River middle school and high school students had a moment in the spotlight when they were congratulated by Suffolk County Legislator Sarah Anker at a recent Board of Education meeting. Seventeen students were lauded for their outstanding achievements, spanning academics, the arts, athletics, volunteerism and community engagement. Leg. Anker read their names and encouraged them all to continue to follow their passions.

“I can’t wait to see what the future holds for these young, beautiful people,” she said.

Congratulations to students Owen Beran, Kelly Cassidy, Paul LoScalzo, Aaron McClintock, Caitlin Thrash and Jake Wilson. The Albert G. Prodell Middle School students are Natalee Cortina, Ben Evans, Emily Herr, Yiya Hu, Spencer Lee, Anthony Mango, Kerrin McGuire, Liam McQuade, Jocelynn Nastasi, Michaela Nobre and Hannah Scotto.
