Students in Lori Racaniello’s Living Environment class at the High
School viewed 3D models of chromosomes, DNA and RNA up-close using
augmented reality technology. The interactive technology allowed them to
experience a real-world environment in which the objects are enhanced
by computer-generated perceptual information. The students worked under
the guidance of librarian Kristine Hanson, who led them using Google’s
Expeditions app and virtual reality headsets.
