Shoreham-Wading River High School’s Vivian Shao and her two teammates at The Gary D. Bixhorn Technical Center in Bellport placed first in New York State in the SkillsUSA Promotional Bulletin Board competition. The team will represent the state at The SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Conference, which will be held in Atlanta, Georgia in late June. The event is the largest gathering of America’s future skilled workforce.

The competition evaluates bulletin board displays created by SkillsUSA students based on the annual competition theme. The bulletin boards promote SkillsUSA, career and technical education in general, and related occupational information.
