Shoreham-Wading River High School senior Stephanie Searing was sworn in at the Oct. 15 Board of Education meeting as the ex-officio student member of the board. Stephanie will represent her peers during her service as the student board member and will attend regular meetings with the elected board members where she will present her report of activities and calendar of events at the high school. “Stephanie’s outstanding leadership skills make her a perfect fit for this important position,” Principal Frank Pugliese said. “With so much happening in the high school, her voice will serve as a fresh perspective for her schoolmates.”
