SWR High School National Honor Society members recently hosted Organ
Donor Enrollment Day. This year, the fifth annual nationally recognized
event held special meaning in the District as it also memorialized two
district students, Thomas Cutinella and Melissa Marchese, who both
helped to save lives of others as organ donors. “This was a heartfelt
gesture among our students and staff, who came out and supported this
important endeavor,” said Principal Mr. Frank Pugliese, who also praised
NHS President William Cutinella for spearheading the event and social
studies teachers Mrs. Maria Lovasco and Mr. Russell Mitchinson who
co-advise the NHS students. The event raised awareness and also enrolled
more than 60 students and staff members in the national organ donor
registry.
