SWR High School senior David Lopez took a first-place prize in the recent Regional VI SkillsUSA Prepared Speech competition at Suffolk County Community College in Brentwood. David, a student at the Eastern Long Island Academy of Applied Technology in Riverhead, is looking forward to beginning his freshman year of college at Suffolk County Community College where he will major in education. He will then continue at a CUNY school in his pursuit of a career as an elementary school teacher. Congratulations!
