The Albert G. Prodell Middle School Leadership Club held a military donation drive in honor of Memorial Day. Students were given patriotic bags and asked to fill them with items to be sent overseas to service men and women. More than 1,000 items were collected and sorted for shipment. The Army recruitment office in Riverhead helped coordinate the effort. This project was developed by eight-grader Camila Pinos as part of her participation in the Leadership Club.
