Mindfulness in Motion

Miller Avenue School students experienced a fresh and intriguing approach to both physical exercise and mental exercise with an interactive program with teaching artists Beth and Scott and Friends. The fun included mindful moving, yoga postures, collaborative dances, learning to belly breathe, listening to singing bowls and embodying various emotional moods with the use of world and popular music. The program’s mission is in line with the District’s Social-Emotional Learning opportunities.
