Hundreds of students were welcomed back to school today.

Miller Avenue School students were greeted by Principal Christine Carlson, teachers and building staff members. Wading River School Principal Lou Parrinello celebrated students’ entry into the school with Welcome Ambassadors and a fist pump, while “Indiana Jones” and “Star Wars” theme songs played throughout the hallways.

Wading River also reviewed schoolwide expectations with grade-level assemblies and were encouraged to celebrate each other’s differences and special talents.

Students at Prodell Middle School and Shoreham-Wading River High School were welcomed back by Principal Kevin Vann and Principal Frank Pugliese, respectively. They were also greeted by faculty and staff, and got acquainted with new teachers, classmates, routines and expectations.
