To celebrate what makes each student unique and raise awareness about bullying, students at Miller Avenue Elementary School wore mismatched socks to school on Oct. 21.

The activity culminated the school’s annual Character Counts Week, during which students wore different colors each day to recognize the character traits of trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness and caring. Students also participated in character-building activities and held a sock drive for local shelters.
