Seniors at Shoreham-Wading River High School learned about the dangers
of texting while driving, as well as driving under the influence, during
the “Arrive Alive” program held at the school on May 27.
During the program, the students heard from guest speaker Karen Torres
of the Texting While Driving Foundation, watched informational videos,
and "drove" in a high-tech simulator, provided by UNITE, which offers
health and wellness programs to high schools and college campuses
throughout the country.
