‘Suite Surrender’ on SWRHS Stage

high school students in play thumbnail257783

It's 1942, and two of Hollywood's biggest divas have descended upon the luxurious Palm Beach Royale Hotel: assistants, luggage and legendary feud with one another in tow. Everything seems to be in order for their wartime performance, that is, until they are somehow assigned to the same suite. Mistaken identities, overblown egos, double entendres and a lap dog named Mr. Boodles round out this hilarious riot of a love note to the classic farces of the 1930s and 1940s.

Shoreham-Wading River High School’s student run production of Michael McKeever’s “Suite Surrender” is directed by seniors Torre Cintorino and Emily Murray; stage manager is Leah Carberry, set designer is Sarah Hahn and lighting designer is Cole Fernandez.

The cast includes Annalia Clemente, Jake Donnelly, Lila Grosso, Cassandra Keany, Reilly Kenneally, Nicholas Maggipinto, Hannah Sagat, Kyle Schiff and Hannah Scotto

The assistant stage managers are Harley Loscalzo and Jacob Maggipinto; the lead scenic charge is Viv Shao; master electrician is Lee Minty; audio engineer is Henry Wyszomierski; sound assistant is Emily Miltz and props designer is Ashley Miltz. The tech and construction crew members are Matteo Cortina, Nicholas Friedlander, Maya Fullam, Zach Higgins, Aliana Kurz, Aegea Sartain and Collin Sheridan.

The performances are May 2, 3 and 4 at 7 p.m. in the SWRHS auditorium. Admission is free but donations are appreciated.
