You will want to check out Shoreham-Wading River High School’s production of “Blithe Spirit,” on stage for three performances starting tonight, Feb 8.

The comic stage play, led by Mary Hygom (director) and Maryanne Agius (assistant director), is performed by SWR’s talented actors Torre Cintorino (Charles), Emily Murray (Ruth), Cassandra Keany (Elvira), Lila Grosso (Madame Arcarti), Andrew Wicks (Dr. Bradman), Hannah Scotto (Mrs. Bradman) and Natalee Cortina (Edith). These students light up the stage with a first-class, Broadway-inspired set with period furniture, props and scenery.

The Noël Coward play is about socialite and novelist Charles Condomine looking for inspiration for his next book. He invites clairvoyant Madame Arcarti to his home to conduct a séance, which backfires when the ghost of his first wife Elvira haunts only him.

The talented SWRHS students involved also include Harley Loscalzo (stage manager), Anna Marino (set designer), Sarah Hahn (lead scenic charge and lighting designer), Jacob Maggipinto and Lisa Misawa (assistant stage managers), Emily Miltz (master electrician), Noah Wyszomierski (audio engineer), Leah Carberry (sound assistant) and Maya Fullam (props designer). The tech and construction crew are Brooke Barget, Matteo Cortina, Cole Fernandez, Nick Friedlander, Briar Hughes, Aliana Kurz, Jillian Morgan, Kyle Schiff, Vivian Shao, Collin Sheridan and Henry Wyszomierski.

Shows are Thursday, Feb. 8, Friday, Feb. 9, and Saturday, Feb. 10, at 7 p.m. in the Shoreham-Wading River High School auditorium. Please join us in supporting these amazing students on stage and behind the scenes. To purchase tickets, visit www.vancoevents.com/CGFN
