Shoreham-Wading River High School students continue to gain practical, firsthand knowledge learning about our local government. Along with social studies teacher Maria Lovasco, 11 students in her Community Relations class and Shoreham-Wading River ex-officio Board of Education members were hosted by U.S. Congressman Nick LaLota to discuss civic engagement, service learning and students’ contributions to the SWR community. Thank you all for your contributions to our local community: Shea Beran, Elysa Corso, Reanna Gill, Caroline Panasci, Lauren Pollak, Allisandra Sagat, Hannah Sagat, Abigail Savona, Emily Schmalzle, Hannah Scotto and Dongkai Zhang.
