Ten Shoreham-Wading River High School students – Sydney Albert, Brielle Burtts, Emma Granshaw, Lila Grosso, Anthony Mango, Christian McClain, Everett McClintock, Liam McQuade, Mya Michaelson and Kyle Rose – took part in a Suffolk County High School Leadership Conference, where young minds join with a mission of becoming the changemakers of tomorrow.

Compassion Without Borders, sponsored by the Suffolk County High School Principals Association, is designed to bring student leaders together from across the county to collaborate around a given topic. The event was hosted by Half Hollow Hills High School East and the theme was self-empowerment.

“This was a great opportunity for our students to discover or enhance their leadership potential, learn to make an essential difference and embrace their passion for a positive future,” Principal Mr. Frank Pugliese said.
