Students in Mrs. Maria Lovasco’s Community Relations class at Shoreham Wading River High School visited Councilwoman Jane Bonner at Brookhaven Town Hall for a roundtable question and answer session on Nov. 14. Topics discussed included civic engagement, service learning, paths to government and political service, and local initiatives. The 12 students enrolled in the course are actively pursuing the New York State Seal of Civic Readiness. They are Erin Cahill, Elysa Corso, Giovanna Costa, Reanna Gill, Kaelyn Metz, Riley Metz, Caroline Panasci, Lauren Pollak, Shannon Redlein, Abigail Savona, Hannah Scotto and Emily Schmalzle.
