The Shoreham-Wading River High School robotics team participated in the Malverne High School VRC Spin Up Tournament along with 31 other teams spanning from Long Island to Westchester. The students – Cole Fernandez, Sarah Julian, Athena Sartain, Vivian Shao, Ray Tang and Rebecca Zoraksh – successfully competed in the VEX Robotics Competition in an engineering challenge in the form of a game.

With guidance from coach Mr. David Driscoll, the students built their innovative robot, Wildcat, and continue to gain skills in teamwork, perseverance, communication, project management and critical thinking as well as valuable engineering abilities.

Great job to all the students on the robotics team, which also includes Jacob Formisano, April Haarke, Sarah Hahn, Alexander Tishchenko, Bryan Vogel, Hannah Wyszomierski, and Alston Zhuo.
