Students in Alison Quenzer and Cara Behrens’ second grade class at Miller Avenue School celebrated reading before the winter break. The students worked diligently in the reading unit to create characters and write a realistic fiction series. They studied story arcs to be sure their stories consisted of a problem and a solution. They also revised and edited their work before the publishing celebration.

“They were super creative,” Ms. Behrens said. “During our party, they wore comfortable pajamas and went under a tent with flash lights. We had so much fun!”
