The 2021-22 school year marked the first cohort of students to be honored with the New York State Seal of Biliteracy. Six students were honored with the Seal of Biliteracy award – a formal recognition of attaining a high proficiency in two or more languages by high school graduation. The district has been gifted with the New York State Education Department’s “1st Year” badge to commemorate this important offering to Shoreham-Wading River students.
