In case you didn’t view the famed Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, Miller Avenue students took to the hallways and marched to some festive music on Thanksgiving Eve, all while chanting gratitude attitude! The Annual Second Grade Thanksgiving Day Parade was a culmination of the study of how to be an inventor and “Balloons Over Broadway,” the true story of the master puppeteer who invented the first balloons for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Kindergarten and first graders watched in the hallway as the second graders paraded around the school.

The festive celebration showcased students’ artistic skills with the many hand-crafted paper balloons and guest appearances.

“We were so lucky to have Whiskers, our school mascot, also make an appearance,” said teacher Mrs. Aimee Schwabe.
