Wading River School fifth graders welcomed a guest speaker into their classroom via Google Meet on Nov. 10. Mr. Marshall Picken visited Ms. Tonia Ammirati and Ms. Meredith Trani’s class to share his experiences as a veteran. Mr. Picken gave the students insight into his experience serving in the United States Army during the Vietnam war as a meteorologist. He also shared what Veterans Day means to him, saying that he was proud to be a veteran and feels that the experience helped shape his life in a positive way.
