With so many academic opportunities, extra-curricular activities and events going on at Shoreham-Wading River High School, three seniors were selected to represent their peers at Board of Education meetings.

Seniors Sarah Alessi, Amelia Beyersdorfer and Timothy Manzello were each sworn in by District Clerk Stephanie Mahoney, each as ex-officio student school board members for the 2022-23 school year. They will alternate their attendance at the Board of Education meetings.

“We are proud to recognize these students in this leadership role,” Principal Frank Pugliese said. “They all are diligent, conscientious and highly inquisitive students who are well respected by their peers and their teachers. We are grateful that they care about their high school education and about leaving a positive impact on their school community.”
