The Shoreham-Wading River High School Chapter of the Future Farmers of America organization hosted its first Fall Fest fundraiser. Held outside the high school, students were invited to help build a community scarecrow and pin their harvest gratitude on them, bob for apples, add to a chalk harvest scene, search for the “needle” in a haystack and purchase a delicious home baked goods, all while learning more about the FFA.
“The students who attended had a wonderful time, and the FFA thanks several local farms for their generous donations that helped make the event a success,” science teacher and FFA adviser Dana Schaefer said.
