Fourth grade students in Wading River School have a greater sense of direction because of a recent cartography assignment. Ms. Danielle Algiere and Ms. Allison Cowen’s class created maps of New York State as part of a geography lesson. The students learned what the map shows, including its land mass, water, cardinal directions and the key explaining what the symbols, colors, shapes and scale indicate.
