Constitution Day at Wading River!

Students dressed up thumbnail224638

Students dressed up as Benjamin Franklin, Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, George Washington – and even President Abraham Lincoln, Rosie the Riveter, Betsy Ross, astronaut Sally Ride and the lady with the lamp, Florence Nightingale – walked the halls of Wading River School to celebrate those noted historical figures, among others.

In its annual recognition of Constitution Day, the school honored the date of Sept. 17, 1787, when 39 delegates signed the United States Constitution. To join in on the educational dress-up opportunity, some students wore patriotic colors to honor those who have influenced decisions and made major contributions to our country and the world.
