The letterhead was created with an American flag on top. The messages were heartfelt and expressed appreciation to police officers in the New York City Police Department’s 113th Precinct.

Wading River School students from Mrs. Jill Stevenson and Mrs. Jennifer Simicich’s third grade class wrote the inspirational letters in recognition of Patriot Day and to share their thanks for the invaluable protection and service of the officers within our communities. The students were in turn thanked by the officers, including Mrs. Simicich’s husband John Simicich, with a photo of them holding each letter received!
