Students, teachers, administrators and support staff throughout the Shoreham-Wading River School District were off to a bright start for the first day of school on Thursday, Sept. 1.

At Miller Avenue they were greeted by principal Claudia Smith, teachers and building staff members. Students at Wading River School, Albert G. Prodell Middle School and Shoreham-Wading River High School were welcomed back by Principal Lou Parrinello, Principal Kevin Vann and Principal Frank Pugliese, respectively. Students were also greeted by faculty and staff, and got acquainted with new teachers, classmates, routines and expectations.

With school community pride, SWR’s student-leaders are ready to embark on a successful academic year. Together, teachers and students will discover, explore, make new friends and create joyful memories.
