Shoreham-Wading River High School senior Carlie Cutinella, a New York State Public High School Athletic Association student representative of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee, has been a committed member of the statewide organization since being named as one of just two students representing Section XI in the 2020 school year.

Carly and her peers statewide recently addressed their respective athletic directors regarding mental health to help recognize the NYSPHSAA Mental Health Awareness Week of May 2-6. She spoke at the Section XI monthly meeting at its local office.

“Carlie did a great job and we are all proud of her efforts,” Director of Health, Physical Education, Athletics and Nurses Mr. Mark Passamonte said. “Her continued enthusiasm in helping her fellow student-athletes here in SWR and using her voice to help beyond our district is to be commended.”
