The Shoreham-Wading River School District congratulates another student-athlete’s success with high school freshman Emily Herr’s recent win at the Girls Suffolk County Swimming Championships, held at Stony Brook University. Emily won in the 100 freestyle (51.96) and 200 freestyle (1:53.33) events. Emily will compete in the state championship meet next week in Ithaca, New York. Earlier this school year, Emily was named to Newsday’s top 25 girls swimmers on Long Island for her prior season accomplishments as an eighth grader on the varsity swim team: her first-place wins in the 100 freestyle and second-place win in the 200 freestyle at the Suffolk County championships.
