The Shoreham-Wading River School District welcomed the incoming third grade class to Wading River School in a fun and informative afternoon event on Aug. 31. Greeted by Principal Lou Parrinello, staff members and several student-ambassadors, the students were officially named third graders at 3:03 p.m. They were gifted with colorful T-shirts and a book as the newest members of the school. They then joined parents and siblings on a tour of the building, peeked into classrooms and the gymnasium and checked out the cafeteria. Mr. Parrinello even introduced them to the fish in the main hallway fish tank, before they went outside to see old friends and meet new classmates on the school playground.
