The Shoreham-Wading River School District is pleased to celebrate the five members of the school community who were honored with SCOPE Educational Service Awards. They were recognized at the June 22 Board of Education meeting.

Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources Brian Heyward commended each recipient, who were recognized in categories that highlighted their leadership, fiscal responsibility, dedication and countless hours of service in improving the educational experiences of all Shoreham-Wading River School District students.

The recipients are MaryJean Carlson, senior office assistant at Shoreham-Wading River High School for Support Staff Service; Henry Perez, Shoreham-Wading River Board of Education trustee for School Board Service; Larry Kogel, a longtime champion and active community member of the district for Community Service; Danielle Senneca, Albert G. Prodell Middle School social studies teacher for Teacher Service; and Wading River School Principal Lou Parrinello for Administrator Service.
