Good Deeds for Dogs!

Good Deeds for Dogs! thumbnail180218

Students in Miller Avenue’s Student Council continue to foster positive relationships and build pride with their schoolwide and community service initiatives. The second graders’ most recent endeavor was making dog tug toys for Happy Tails Rescue, a Suffolk County-based pet rescue organization dedicated to saving the lives of animals and finding them their forever homes. In addition to the tug toys, they collected pet food and supplies that were donated by the generous school community.

To help with their successful campaign, the students, who meet virtually with advisers Mrs. Mary Anne Benz and Mr. Robert Korchma, created posters that were hung along the hallways of the school building.
