Carlie Cutinella Named to NYS Student Advisory Committee

SWR High School rising junior Carlie Cutinella was named a New York State Public High School Athletic Association student representative. She is one of two students who will represent Section XI on the committee, which consists of 22 members statewide.

The 2020-21 Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will continue to promote the NYSPHSAA Mental Health Awareness Week as well as provide feedback on the organization’s Executive and Central committee proposals among other initiatives.

“We are so proud of Carlie for this prestigious honor,” Director of Health, Physical Education, Athletics and Nurses Mr. Mark Passamonte said. “Being selected from more than 90 applicants is a great achievement in itself and will not only serve her peers with a voice it will also create a meaningful dialogue between students and adults about issues that student-athletes encounter.”

The SAAC will meet four times via videoconference during the upcoming school year with the inaugural meeting slated for Sept. 20.
