Shoreham-Wading River High School was named a School of Excellence by the New York State Public High School Athletic Association. To be recognized, at least 75 percent of the varsity teams must be Scholar Athlete teams, meaning 75 percent of team members must have a 90 GPA or higher.

“This is a great honor for the school district and is a testament to the student athletes’ accomplishments in the classroom and on the field,” Director of Health, Physical Education, Athletics and Nurses Mark Passamonte said.
