The Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) are comprehensive K-12 science education standards that focus on deeper understanding and application of content, and aim to prepare students for future success by fostering scientific literacy, critical thinking, and real-world problem-solving skills.

Lab activities are integrated throughout the elementary science program to support a deeper understanding and appreciation of science and to prepare students for success with more advanced science work at the secondary grade levels.

At the middle school level our program focuses on the Life Science standards in 6th grade, the Physical Science standards in 7th grade, and Earth and Space Science standards in 8th grade.

Opportunities for advanced science study through dual enrollment and advanced placement coursework are available in Biology, Human Physiology, Forensics, Agriculture, and Science Research.
