Portraiture Art Exhibited at Museum of Miller Avenue

The Miller Avenue School community flocked to the Museum of Miller Avenue art event on March 2. Curated by art teacher Daria Brown, the school venue featured self-portraits created by every student and exhibited on the walls of the gymnasium for everyone to view.
Students shrieked with delight as they perused room and finally found their portraits, showing their creations to family members and friends. Parents and caregivers proudly took photos of their students standing next to their artwork.
The evening was also a social event as students gathered at two craft tables where they could choose to create a mini painting at the You Are a Star Artist table or scratch a design on a star at the Scratch a Star and Show Who You Are table. Every student left the event feeling like a true star for having succeeded in capturing a like image of themselves.
