Shoreham-Wading River High School named to 2025 AP Honor Roll

Shoreham-Wading River High School has been named to the 2025 Advanced Placement Program School Honor Roll, which recognizes schools who are delivering results and broadening opportunities for students through their AP programs. Shoreham-Wading River High School earned a Silver designation for creating an AP program that encourages a college-bound mindset, maximizes college readiness and provides ample opportunities for students to earn college credit.
This year, 43 juniors and seniors qualified as Advanced Placement Scholars for their exceptional achievement on the college-level AP program exams. The high school currently offers 20 AP courses. Additionally, 534 AP exams were taken, including AP Capstone, Seminar and Research courses.
“Being named to the AP Program School Honor Roll demonstrates student dedication, teacher expertise and a strong districtwide academic culture,” Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment Alan N. Meinster said. “This designation also reflects the district’s commitment to providing rigorous opportunities that prepare students for success beyond high school.”
