The District is pleased to announce that that the Suffolk County Music Educators’ Association has accepted a record 97 students to participate in their Division 1, Division 2 and Division 3 festivals, to be held in March. These band, orchestra and choir students were already incredibly successful on New York State School Music Association solos and have since been recommended by their teachers for consideration. 

District Music Coordinator Dennis Creighton said, “This recognition is incredibly meaningful, as it is an outside organization that selected our students based on the hard work put in by students and faculty over the course of their time in the music department.” 

The SCMEA organization consists of professional music educators and advocates of music education across Suffolk County. SCMEA is an affiliate of NYSSMA.
