Dressed for History

Wading River School students celebrated Constitution Day on Sept. 17 by dressing up as important American historical figures.
Principal Lou Parrinello, dressed as Abraham Lincoln, greeted each student at the front door of the school and reminded them of the important day in history. Walking through the halls of the elementary school were individuals portraying the Statue of Liberty, Amelia Earhart and George Washington. Many of the students also dressed in clothing that signified their support for first responders, the local heroes who protect the Shoreham-Wading River community’s rights and freedoms each day. The school day also included various educational activities that supported instruction about the U.S. Constitution.
