Student Class Placement Letters

Placement Letters will be mailed home the week before school starts.  One of our alumni, Mackenzie, shared a delightful poem she wrote in her Writer’s Notebook about waiting for her placement letter when she was going into third grade:

My Third Grade Teacher

I’m waiting for the letter.
I’m very excited.
When will it come?
I hope it is tomorrow.
I really do!
I like all the teachers.
I want to know who it will be.
Will it be Mrs. Stevenson, Mr. Vallina,
Mrs. Thorn or Ms. Langan?
I will be happy to read the letter.
I will shout hurray.
Then, I will call my friends.
Who is your teacher? I will ask.
I love to do math.
I love to read.
I cannot wait to have my own butterfly.
I cannot wait for school to start.
