Continuing/Beginning String Students
Dear First Year String Players and Parents,
Congratulations again on a spectacular concert!!! At this point we should be thinking about what to do with our instruments and “String Builder” books.
Continuing my string instrument next year
Violin/Viola/Cello/Bass
If you rented an instrument, I suggest you rent it again for the summer and following school year. If you feel that your size has changed, you may have to exchange your instrument for a bigger one (the people at the store can measure you). However, I can also measure you!
**You may keep your “String Builder” book for the summer so we can use it again next year. If you are afraid that it may get lost, return it to me and I will give it back to you next year. Please note that if a book is lost, you will have to buy a replacement for Miller Avenue.
**Cello players please note that in 4th and 5th grade you are eligible to rent a Miller Avenue cello for $80.00. However, Miller Avenue celli are in much worse condition than those from a vendor!
**Bass Players please keep your bass at home for the summer if you will be continuing next year. You may want to bring it in for tuning before the end of the school year.
**Summer Music – See me if you have not received information and are interested.
Not Continuing my string instrument next year
Violin/Viola/Cello
If you rented your instrument from Family Melody Center, you may return it to me by June 20th and Family Melody Center will come pick it up. If you rented from somewhere else, it is your responsibility to return your instrument to where it came from.
Bass
All non-continuing bass players must return their bass to me by Friday June 13th. You may leave the bass in my room if I am not there at the time.
***Please note that all non-continuing string players must return their “String Builder” book to me by Friday June 13th. All books should have the student’s name written lightly on the top inside cover. Therefore, if I am not in my room, you may leave it on my desk or in my mail box. All lost books must be replaced.
Have a Great Summer!!
Ms. Fasano
