Pillars of Character

Since being somebody with good character is so very important to all of us, we have decided to dedicate one whole month for each one of our six pillars. Now is your chance to share some examples with the entire school of how you demonstrate your good character. Our first “Word of the Month” will be Fair and we have dedicated the month of October to this special pillar. Fairness means to play by the rules, take turns and share, be open-minded, and listen to others. Please contribute to Miller Avenue’s “Fall into Fairness” display that is located next to the main office by cutting out a leaf (you may pick one up during Physical Education Class) and sharing one example of fairness. You can write about a time that you were fair, a time that you saw someone being fair, or about what fairness means to you. When your leaf is done, please turn it in to Ms. Chambel or Mr. Bonventre during your Physical Education Class. We are looking forward to seeing everyone’s leaves of fairness, both on the tree and in the fair way we treat one another every day!
