Fifth graders in Mrs. Karla Roberts’ class at Wading River School welcomed award-winning Newsday reporter Ms. Candice Ferrette to share about her career highlights. A recipient of multiple awards from the Society of Professional Journalists, New York State Associated Press Association and the Association of Health Care Journalists, the visit coincided with the students writing unit to share and help inspire the young authors.
