Two Shoreham-Wading River High School seniors have been named Commended Students in the annual National Merit Scholarship Program.

Students James Minetti and Emily Scherl have each been recognized for the exceptional academic promise demonstrated on their outstanding performance on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. They each received a Letter of Commendation from the National Merit Scholarship Program. The two students are very involved in all aspects of their high school careers and recognize that this achievement is vital to the advancement of educational excellence. The District congratulates Emily and James for demonstrating outstanding potential for academic success.
