Albert G. Prodell Middle School’s Leadership Club hosted a
successful holiday card- making event for children who are living with
life-threatening illnesses. Working with adviser/guidance counselor Ms.
Courtney DeMarco, colorful messages of kindness were created during
lunch periods, and dozens of students took part in spreading the
thoughtful messages.
“We are making cards for children who are not feeling well
and may have to spend time in the hospital during the holidays,” eighth
grader Ashton Capes-Varisano said of the project that will benefit
Friends of Karen, an organization that assists families with children
living with life-threatening illnesses.
