While parents spread blankets and prepared a picnic dinner for their families, incoming kindergarten students had an opportunity to meet new classmates during the Miller Avenue Elementary School’s Playdate and Picnic.

Sponsored by the school’s PTO, children were each welcomed with a Miller Avenue Elementary School T-shirt. Six different colors represented the six kindergarten teachers, making a fun way for the children to recognize their classmates before they begin their first day of school on Sept. 5.
